VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Gallery Sitters
A great opportunity to interact with the public! Gallery Sitters meet and greet visitors and answer questions about the gallery and the artwork. There are two Saturday shifts for gallery sitters: 11:00 - 2:30 and 2:30 - 6:00.

First Friday Receptions
Our average attendance at First Fridays is over 400 people! Volunteers for First Fridays help pour wine, talk to the gallery-goers, and recruit new members.

Art Installation
Installation assistants help with all tasks from prepping the walls (spackling and painting) to hanging the art. This is a great opportunity to work directly with the artists, and gain valuable museum preparation experience.

Outreach/Education Workshops
Throughout the year, SSG hosts workshops for area students. Volunteers offer support with the art projects, working side-by-side with the students. This is a great volunteer opportunity for teachers, and those who see a future in art education.

Membership and Office Fun!
Help out with general office support, particularly Membership mailings like exhibition announcement cards and newsletters!
